(Teacher's Workshop)Teaching with Technology: The Integration of Digital Materials in and beyond the Classroom
Blended learning, which combines the traditional printed materials with technology, has become popular in the 21st century classroom. As digital natives, many students today are familiar with technology and even prefer using it to learn new things. The blended approach not only helps teachers engage with students in a more flexible and interactive way but also provides personalized learning process for students in and outside the classroom. During this session, the presenter will look at a wide variety of digital materials available for teachers and students in today’s classroom and look for an ultimate solution for blended teaching and blended learning. The presenter will use extensive examples from Touchstone 2nd Edition from Cambridge University Press. Presenter Profile Valerie Yu Valerie Yu works as the ELT Product Consultant for Hwa Tai Publishing currently. She has a wide range of interests, including teaching English, reading literature, and indulging herself into the fascinating world of sociology. She holds two master’s degrees: an MSc in Gender Studies - London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and an MSc in Marketing - the University of Manchester.
